Responsibilities include preparation detailed Class 1-4 estimating plans (up to +/- 10% estimates) overall cost estimate and summaries, project cash-flow projections, risk assessment support & incorporation, detailed estimate reports and basis of estimate write-ups.
Set up the estimating database based on latest labour and procurement information to insure the database incorporates oil and gas, infrastructure and power estimations.
Liaison with Engineering, and Procurement for consistent & accurate pricing and with Construction Management for strategy and anticipated productivity levels.
Preparation of reliability cost estimates for project studies and analysis.
Preparation of budgetary estimate, preliminary (authorisation for expenditure) estimate and detailed tender check estimate.
Preparation of budget and Authorisation for expenditure proposal for approval by the client.
Bid analysis.
Evaluation of technical and commercial proposals which include cost breakdown, contract unit rates, project schedules, manpower loading and equipment resources.
Assessment of tender documents for the preparation of detailed bid packages.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the CSG, etc.

Minimum Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Postgraduate qualifications in the relevant discipline; or equivalent experience, with preference towards cost estimating.
Minimum 10 years working experience within project cost estimating.
