“PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited” (HDEC) Branch office in the Republic of Azerbaijan company is looking for a Junior Planning Engineer for “240 MW Khizi-Absheron Wind Power Project”.

Position Overview:

Junior Planning Engineer will play a vital role in the successful planning and execution of the 240 MW Khizi-Absheron Wind Power Project. This position will work closely with the project management team to develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules, ensuring that timelines are met, and resources are efficiently utilized.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, maintenance, and optimization of project schedules using industry-standard tools, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate planning and scheduling.
• Regularly monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying potential delays or issues.
• Generate detailed reports on project schedule performance, highlighting key milestones, risks, and recommended actions.
• Work closely with the project team to identify potential risks and uncertainties affecting project timelines.
• Propose effective mitigation strategies to address risks and ensure the project remains on track.
• Maintain open and effective communication channels with project team members to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and constraints.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to coordinate project activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project schedules, documentation, and records.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices in project planning.

• Bachelor's Degree or Graduate in Engineering / Project Management from reputed university.
• Having at least 2-3 years’ work experience in planning department preferably in renewable projects.
• Can review and understand all relevant documentation including SOW, Management Plans and Schedules.
• Can prepare schedule on Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project and have considerable knowledge of Planning & Scheduling.
• Can prepare Daily, Weekly & Monthly Progress Reports and update them on timely basis.
• Have ability to conduct site visits and monitor Project progress.
• Is able to do cross functional coordination with client, departments and teams to ensure smooth running of project.
• Can prepare presentation and minutes of meeting when required.
• Is able to assist Project Control Manager and Project Director.
• Good command of verbal and written English communication.
• Considerable skills in MS-Office suite specially MS-Excel is required.
• Resilient to coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work under pressure.
• Strives for continuous improvement and precision in every detail.
• Have knowledge and experience of Document Controls.
